As a Christian school it is our desire to provide the services of a Chaplain to meet the different pastoral needs of students. We are fortunate to have two Chaplains at the school who are there for those students who need a little counsel and comfort during stressful periods of their lives.
Our Chaplains also run a breakfast program several mornings a week. For those students wishing to know more about the Bible, the Chaplains are happy to arrange a time to study the Bible with students.
At the heart of the school’s philosophy is the desire to encourage students to develop a relationship with Jesus and have a sound knowledge of the Word of God.
Our Principal and Staff are committed Christians who attempt to lead by example through their lifestyle. Each morning our Staff meet together to commit their day to God through worship and prayer. The first priority of the school day is gathering students together in their class/roll groups for a moment of reflection and prayer. The school day concludes in the same manner with prayer.
Character building based on Christian values is incorporated into the College's curriculum with our Chapel program emphasizing these values through the ministry of guest speakers and our Chaplain. Recognition is also given during this time to those students who strive to uphold these values through the way they respect their peers and their general behaviour both in the class and playground.
The highlight of the school’s spiritual year is the Spiritual Emphasis Week where students attend a thirty minute Chapel program each day for a week and to listen to guest speakers from various ministry groups. These speakers are specially selected for their passion for children’s and youth ministries.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:7-9.
