Moving to Albury Wodonga?

The Albury-Wodonga region offers an excellent standard of living.

Real Estate is excellent value for money. It can offer everything from high density townhouse living the centre of town to suburban living or even rural acreage, all affordable and all within easy commuting distance of the town centre and the school.

The facilities in Albury-Wodonga are excellent with four large shopping centres as well as many other specialty shops to cater for your needs.

The area has an abundance of sporting facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, proper track and field facilities, basketball stadiums, excellent golfing and tennis facilities and cycling tracks.

The region has a great number of restaurants with everything from fast food to exotic and cultural cuisine.

Albury and Wodonga both have Performing Arts Centres, and between them have a movie theatre, local theatre groups and cater for many touring shows from the capital cities. There are also our own Annual Show as well as craft shows, home shows and similar types of exhibitions.

Educational facilities are plentiful. With a number of child-care and pre-school centres, Primary and High Schools, two TAFE Colleges and Charles Sturt and La Trobe University campuses.

Two public and one private hospital serve the Albury-Wodonga community. There is a diverse range of specialists practicing in the area and a large number of general medical practices and dental clinics.

With its varied climate, Albury-Wodonga offers the best of both seasons. From water sports such swimming, water-skiing, fishing and jet skiing in the summer on Lake Hume; to snow skiing, tobogganing and snowboarding during the winter months at Mt Hotham (an hour and a half away); there is something for everyone.

For those wishing to explore the region there is a rich history in the surrounding towns which are a comfort one to two hour drive away. Melbourne and Canberra are only three hours drive time away and Sydney five and a half. There is a very busy regional airport to cater for those who wish to fly to these major capitals as well.
